Suddenly everyone is talking about OSGi. It is the overnight sensation 10 years in the making. This session will examine why the OSGi technology is important now and why it will continue to be important tomorrow. We will take a look at how the technology arrived at it current position and what is in the pipeline for the next release. We will also talk about the stewards of the technology, the OSGi Alliance, and how the alliance will be evolving to encourage broader participation in developing the technology.
